Some days ago I forwarded an email to you regarding the next Golf outing. That email message had come to me from Sheila Kelly. Unfortunately Sheila’ s email address on the email was incorrect – my thanks to Sheila and to others for drawing the mistake to my attention. If you have tried to send any message to Sheila re the golf using the address which you received from me, please resend it to the correct address. In recent days I have received a number of queries from Branch members regarding various issues e.g. DES letters seeking the return of “overpayments” for substitute service given in schools during 2011 and letters from local Social Welfare Offices asking retired teachers on pension to sign on – a practice which we had been led to believe was no longer necessary. These types of queries are more appropriately directed to the Head Office of RTAI – I am reluctant to advise members on such matters – I am no expert on them!! The Tel. no. for Head Office is  (01) 2454130   Ask for Siobhán or Denis whose advice is more reliable than mine.
