Beatha agus sláinte chughat. Tá súil agam go bhfuil scéal faoi imeachtaí na craoibhe ag teacht chughat agus go bhfuil an scéal á scaipeadh imeasc na baill nach bhfuil ar an ríomh-phost. Just to bring you up to date on a few items which are on our calendar.

(1) You are invited to drop in to the Community Centre in Ballyroan on this Wednesday morning at 11am for the cupán tae nó caifé. beidh fáilte romhat.

N.B. If you have an interest in Family History you may be able to help us make a decision as to the next series of classes. The last of the present 10 week Family History classes will be on Thursday, 15th March. Are there twenty members who would like to be part of the next series of classes. These would commence on Thursday morning 22nd March and continue for 10 weeks with a two week break for Easter. The same venue – Sandyford Community Centre at Lamb’s Cross, Sandyford 9.20 to 11.30am. The cost (to include the guided visits to the 3 repositories) would be €85. If you are interested please let me know by Wednesday afternoon of this week. I am anxious to hold the time slot in the venue if there is sufficient interest in forming a new class. Our Family History Class will be held as usual on this Thursday morning. The visit to the National Archives Office in Bishop St will take place on Monday, 12th March at 5pm. Please note the time and date of this visit.

Our next “easier” walk is scheduled for Wednesday, 14th March. The walk on this occasion will bring us by the coast from Bray to Greystones – a lovely walk offering you the opportunity to do it one way and return by DART to Bray or doing the return walk by the same route. Well done to our Glendalough walkers who had one of the finest days of the year so far to enjoy the beauty of the Valley.
